For more than 20 years, I have been proud to represent Hermann Sons Life and to tell families about the value of our life insurance products. In the last couple of months, I experienced the death claim process with HSL firsthand.

In March, my mother passed away.  Just two months later, in May, my father passed away as well. Losing both parents in such a short period of time was one of the most difficult experiences my family has faced. When I sold policies to my parents, I mainly wanted them to be members of HSL and never really thought about having to make a death claim in the future.

As the Vice President of Sales, I have often assured members that Hermann Sons Life is there when families need us most. During this challenging time, I saw that promise fulfilled from the other side of the process.

There was no unnecessary red tape, no confusing requirements, and no frustrating delays. The claims process was straightforward, compassionate, and easy to navigate. Our staff guided us through each step and handled everything professionally and efficiently.

At a time when families are grieving, the last thing they need is additional stress.

Experiencing the process personally reinforced what I have always believed: our mission is not about selling life insurance policies – it is about providing peace of mind and keeping promises.

While losing my parents has been heartbreaking, it brings me comfort to know that Hermann Sons Life delivers on its commitments to its members and their families. I am proud to be part of an organization that treats every family with care, respect and compassion during life’s most difficult moments.

My experience reminded me that behind every policy is a family, a story and a promise and that Hermann Sons Life honors that promise every day.
