Greetings from the Hermann Sons Life Marketing Department. I hope this message finds you and your families in good health.
If your world is anything like mine, you have been getting the new school year off to a kick start and have gone to a completely virtual classroom. There has been a full circle digital evolution in just a matter of a few weeks. I have to admit, initially, it all seemed “so far away” and before I knew it, it was time to login and get started.
We experienced a few hiccups and I have had many moments of feeling uneasy, a little lost and confused, with little desire to meet this challenge going forward on a daily basis.
At the time of this writing, the first day of school was just yesterday, and I have to say, it was a long day of what seemed to be never ending hurdles to get my kindergartner finally up and operating.
Today is the second day of class, and guess what? There were no glitches and he’s off to the races!
I wanted to share a snapshot of a class activity he completed using his tablet. He was asked how he was feeling and had to circle his emotions. As you can see, he was confused, happy and calm.
As Hermann Sons Life moves its marketing efforts into new directions, including the digital environment, there will be many new and exciting experiences and feelings in store. We have various objectives outlined in our strategic plan. Just like the story of my kindergartener, there will be projects and moments that take preparation and patience.
As a member, lodge officer, employee, volunteer, etc. we may also experience an array of emotions, as he did while leaning into a virtual classroom world at the age of 5. We may be a little confused, happy or calm, but I encourage you that if a kindergartner can emerge and embrace technology, so can you!
One of the objectives is to move us in a direction to where we are using technology, various marketing mediums and tools available to us at our fingertips. While we know that grassroots, face to face interaction has always been the Hermann Sons Life way, we will balance integrating new outlets to position us for the digital world all the while sharing our love of community and protecting the ones we love.
In May we launched the Hermann Sons Life App that allows members to stay connected daily. For the Camp and Dance parents this will be a great way to stay up-to-date with their child’s experiences and memories with Hermann Sons Life.
Our social media platforms such as Facebook will continue to contain content with life insurance related topics that will tell the world about Hermann Sons Life. The posts will engage you, create action to share our good news and commitment to community, highlight our living benefits, or perhaps they will make you think of someone you know who needs financial protection for their families.
Recently you have found fun Camp videos posted to our official Hermann Sons Life YouTube channel that many of you have commented gave you a dose of nostalgia about your Camp days as a child with us.
Our LinkedIn platform has been used to cast a web for potential candidates interested in being a Regional Sales Manager on our amazing Sales Team. The Instagram platform is being utilized for fun content and we are continuing to implement and research the possibilities for all of our social media platforms and their unique demographic user types.
There will be many exciting new projects on the horizon as we journey through the rest of the year. I can’t wait to share them all with you in time. This is an exciting season of growth for our organization. There is much to look forward to. The Marketing Department has many components and possibilities. While there will be objectives, projects, goals and experiences new or familiar, I am confident that the team is committed to our members and the financial stability that has carried us for 159 years.
Please embrace, engage, support and share our journey on our digital and social media platforms.
Thank you for being a member.
You are and always will be our most valued social ambassador.
